2003 Year, last tour with Annihilator
Retrospective
My last tour with Annihilator! This was an intersting
trip. I played the biggest show of my life and one of the smallest. Wacken,
I was told , had an attendance of 37,000 when we played. We also did a
club gig in a small town called Burbach.
I swear there wasn't even 100 people there, although the place was packed!
It was an incredible gig! The people were awesome. All the other shows
were alot of fun and Sziget in Hungary was the largest festival I had
ever seen. I think there was more than 20 stages and all kinds of music.
The last 4 shows on this trip we toured with Circle to Circle. A great
bunch of guys and a pleasure to stink up a bus with!! We ended up playing
a bunch of shows with Testament as well. They were cool and fun to have
a few drinks with!
Thanks to Dave , Randy , Curran and Jeff! I had a great time guys. See
ya around!

Year 2002 Waking the fury tour
With Seven witches and Debase
Retrospective
This was a difficult tour. Attendance was poor and the reaction to the
new album was not so good. There were many reasons but we made the best
of it.
Curran Murphy is the new guitar player. In my opinion, this was the best
line up while I was in the band. We kicked every night. Played some new
places as well Paris was a highlight and we recorded a live album at the
end of this tour called “Double Live Annihilation”.
I think we went through like 6 bus drivers and a couple of busses. The
weather was fantastic and I did a lot of hiking. Saw alot of great things.
Toured with Joey Vera of Armoured Saint/ Fates Warning. Great guy and
a great player. Everyone was cool on that tour..... except the bus drivers

Year 2002 : Valencia Rock Machina festival
Retrospective
Good time. Flew in for 4 days and played 45 minutes! The crowd was great
and we played with some cool bands. Bruce Dickinson headlined the show
and I met and hung out with Duff McKagan of ex- G’n’r . Nice
guy. In fact , almost everything was totally cool. Great food, good cold
beers and a splendid day on the beach. It was hot as hell. Last show with
Joe Comeau.

Year 2001 Annihilator Carnival Diablos Tour
With Nevermore, Soilwork and Rawhead Rexx
Retrospective
Great tour! New singer Joe Comeau did a fantastic job. All the bands
were great and got along pretty good. It was good package because each
band was different from the next. We went to alot of cool places.
Eastern Europe and Greece were highlights. Spent quite a bit of time walking
around and checking things out. All the bands drew well to so most of
the gigs were full. Some areas we went to Nevermore got great responce
and other places were more Annihilator crowds.
The bus went off the road in Bulgaria somewhere and almost tipped over
after hitting something on the road (not to sure what happenned there).
But no one got hurt and the bus was o.k. Also, before we even did one
show the trailer came off the bus a travelled on its own for a while.Actually,
there was alot of wild things that happenned. Lots of memories. Last tour
with Drummer Ray (Fartmann) Hartmann .

2001 Year Europe Festivals
Retrospective
First festival run. Real cool. Randy Black on drums. We travelled in
a couple of vans for this and it was insane for travel. But, we made all
the gigs and did well. Wacken was definately a highlight as we kicked
ass! Other gigs were good to.
First time to Europe in the summer and I really enjoyed it. It is a very
beautiful place. We got to hook up with Nevermore and Overkill in Belgium.
Good to see those guys again.

2001 Year JAPAN
Retrospective
Going to Japan was a great experience. The cities were amazingly huge.
We were on the 20th Anniversay tour for Loudness. Which was cool because
I used to listen to Loudness when I was younger.
One night in Sapporo we went to a bar with a live band and had some drinks.
I ended up doing a jam session with the guitarist and drummer from Loudness.
Akira Takasaki is one of the greats and it was a pleasure to make some
music with him.
We got treated very well while we were there. Met Billy Sheehan and had
beers in the Hard Rock Cafe in Tokyo! Last tour with Dave Scott Davis
(Gloverson!)

2000 Year Criteria For a Black Widow Tour
Retrospective
First full length tour with Annihilator. Many things happenned on this
tour but it was a pretty good tour. Most of the venues were full and we
went to some cool places. Longest stretch of the tour was 19 nights in
a row.
That included flying in and out of Moscow! Shortly thereafter we left
Riga, Latvia and the infamous “Randy Rampage getting kicked off
the bus incident” happenned. Randy was awesome. Right from the first
day I met him I was intrigued.
This guy was indestructable. Scream his brains out every night and then
be the last to bed. Sometimes the next day! Never a dull moment. Overkill
was cool to. The bus shennanigans were incredible!
Highlights were playing in Moscow, Malaga. Waters sang for one show at
the end of the tour and then we went home. Joe Comeau from Overkill became
Annihilators singer about six months later.

1999 Europe
Retrospective
This was my first tour with Annihilator. I learned alot. I also met my
wife. This tour was extremely memorable. Not only was I playing cool tunes
with great players on a different continent, but the personalities of
these individuals were new.
I didn’t really know any of them at first and this was the first
week I hung out with any of them. Or have beers! I think the stand out
memory (which I don’t really remember) was after some drinking and
I went to go to sleep in my Dutch fold up bed. Jeff walks in and decides
to fold the bed up with me in it.
I woke up with a blistering headache. Wasn’t quite sure why it was
so bad until Gloverson told me how my head got caught in the bed hinge
as Waters lifted it up in giggling fit. Yeah, that story is a real scream.
